Overview of Transit Alerts

The Transit Alerts feature in the UseTransit web portal keeps you informed about important updates and announcements that may affect your transit experience. Whether it's a service disruption, a route change, or a special event, Transit Alerts ensure you stay up-to-date with the latest information. Examples of Transit Alerts can be any of the following:

  1. Service Disruptions: Information about any disruptions to regular service, such as delays, cancellations, or reroutes.
  2. Emergency Announcements: Alerts related to emergencies that may affect your travel plans, including weather advisories or unexpected incidents.
  3. Maintenance Notices: Scheduled maintenance updates that might impact service availability or routes.
  4. Special Events: Notices about special events that could cause changes to the usual service, like parades or public gatherings.

Viewing Transit Alerts from UseTransit

1.0Log in to UseTransit

2.0Navigate to Transit Alerts

3.0Filter Transit Alerts

Visit the UseTransit web portal and log in with your credentials.

Click the Transit Alerts icon in the top right corner. This will display all the latest transit alerts from all the transit agencies you have linked your UseTransit account with.

The Transit Alerts icon only appears when you are logged into your UseTransit account.

Click the Filter icon to filter Transit Alerts by a specific route or transit agency.

How Transit Alerts appear in UseTransit for multiple transit agencies

If you have linked your UseTransit account with multiple transit agencies, Transit Alerts from all linked agencies will be displayed in your account. This allows you to:

  1. Stay informed about service changes and updates across all your transit agencies.
  2. Manage your commute effectively by having access to real-time information from multiple sources.
  3. Receive notifications about any disruptions or important announcements from all the transit systems you use.
